| På Sommargården Davide i Gammelgarn samlas varje sommar ungdomar som bland alla sina intressen också vill lära sig att ställa de riktiga frågorna i livet och i rätt tid. Det finns ett epos ur medeltiden som har detta till tema. Parsifal, som råkade komma in i gralsborgen, men inte vågade ställa frågan om han kunde avhjälpa nöden bland gralsriddarna och deras sjuke konung. Parsifal missade tillfället och förorsakade stort lidande för andra och sig själv. På sin vidare livsväg fick han emellertid ledning av en kvinnosjäl, Sigun, som var invigd i offrets hemlighet.
För att åskådliggöra detta livsmotiv har en staty skapats av konstnären och prästen Wive Larsson. Den blev avtäckt och invigd söndagen den 12 maj 2002. Uwe Lemke In the summer, groups of youth gather at the Summer Camp Davide in Gammelgarn on Gotland. Among their interests is the necessity to ask the right questions about life at the right time. The Parsifal epos from the Middle Ages has this as its theme. Parsifal (Perceval) happened to get into the Grail castle, but did not dare ask the question if he could help the suffering among the Grail Knights and their sick king. Parsifal missed the opportunity and caused great suffering for others and for him self. Further along on his life’s road Parsifal found direction through a woman’s soul, through Sigun, who was initiated in the secret of sacrifice.
